Tony Perez, owner and operator of Fossils Online, only became aware that he could find fossils in Florida in 1992. After collecting for several years, Perez had more fossils than he needed or wanted. So Perez decided to try his hand at the new internet website. Using the most logical name for the website, Fossils Online was born in 1998. Since its inception, Fossils Online has consistently offered high-quality fossils to retail buyers. In 2006, the company began making large-scale wholesale transactions with vendors in Tucson. Perez showcases at the Fossil & Mineral Alley at Days Inn, Rooms 151/153, with Steve Alter of Steve's Fossil Shark Teeth during the Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase. Fossils Online also maintains a sizeable wholesale inventory of fossils for gift shops and online retail stores.
Fossil Collecting 
Like many hobbies, fossil collecting became an obsession at first. Perez realized early on in his collecting that the best place to add fossils to his collection was at fossil shows, standing behind the table rather than in front as a bystander. In those days, divers and diggers would come to the show to sell their finds, and Perez was more than happy to purchase their discoveries. An aluminum fabricator by trade, Perez also spent the better part of his spare time underwater, in Florida's rivers or the Gulf of Mexico, collecting fossils. Fossils Online became more than a hobby.
