I have had a lifelong love of rocks and minerals, picking one up from nearly every place I have visited. As a healer, I use many minerals to help clients. Rose quartz is especially helpful in clearing heart energy, while citrine clears the confidence point—the third chakra.
I have learned to pray for guidance and direction, as many of us do. Yet the part we often forget is to listen—and then to follow through on the guidance we receive.
When I started my business, I began asking for the next steps in my healing journey. One day, with a rare free afternoon ahead, I felt a strong urge to drive to Pennsylvania, though I had no idea why. Trusting my intuition, I thought, Why not?
As soon as I paid the toll into Pennsylvania, I was nudged to head to a flea market. Again, I thought, Why not? On the way there, a clear thought dropped into my mind: Stop at the rocks and crystals table and buy a pendulum. I had not considered doing that before, so I knew this was divine direction. I decided to follow it and see what would unfold.
Then a strong inner feeling came over me—I was going to meet a crystal healer who had something important to share with me. I thought about my healing work, how to properly cleanse crystals, and other questions swirling in my mind as I drove. At last, I arrived at the flea market.
As I walked toward the rocks and crystals table, an elderly man in a fedora with piercing blue eyes approached me. He said, “I know about rocks and crystals, and I’ve been waiting for you.” Then he handed me a pendulum. “This one aligns with your energy. It will not lie to you.”
Stunned, I asked, “How did you know I needed this?”
He smiled. “I’m a metaphysical rock healer.” I could barely believe what I was hearing. He began answering the questions I had only thought—but never voiced.
Looking at me intently, he said, “Don’t bury crystals to clear them. Use water instead, or they might absorb wandering spirits from the earth.”
Then he added gently, “Your heart is heavy. You need to worry less and trust God more.” He embraced me and said, “God blesses you for your work.”
In that moment, I truly believed he must be an angel—one who specialized as a rockhound.
I handed him my business card, half-hoping it would give him a direct line to heaven. But when I turned to find him again, he was gone—vanished into the crowd. I never saw him again.
Later, I channeled an angelic message to make sense of the experience. The answer came simply: We entertain angels unaware. I now believe this deeply. Angels are near us in our moments of need and intention, offering signs, wisdom, and guidance when our hearts are open.
