The Quartz, Quiltz, & Craftz Festival (QQC Festival) is three shows in one, a Gem & Mineral Show, a Quilt Show, and an Arts & Crafts Show. The event takes place annually on the second weekend in October at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Mount Ida, Arkansas - the "Quartz Crystal Capital of the World". This year, the 37th Annual QQC Festival is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, October 13-15, 2017. For three days, three buildings at the fairgrounds each feature one of the three shows with additional Arts & Crafts booths, Gem & Mineral booths, and Food Vendors outside. Admission is FREE. Attendees can enter a free drawing for door prizes which will be announced periodically throughout the day (must be present to win) and may purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win this year’s featured quilt. Event Hours: Friday & Saturday 9 am – 6 pm, Sunday 10 am – 4 pm. The QQC Festival also features two quartz crystal digging competitions, the "World Championship Quartz Crystal Dig" $100 Entry and the "K-6 Kidz Dig" $1 Entry, providing opportunities for rockhounds of all ages to experience the joy of finding their own buried treasure! This year is the 30th Annual World Championship Quartz Crystal Dig.
