Founded in 2002 by husband-and-wife duo Thomas and Christine Lindgren, GeoDecor has earned a well-deserved reputation for offering some of the most stunning and rare fossil and mineral specimens available today. Driven by a shared passion for natural history and a commitment to quality, GeoDecor has become a trusted source for museum-quality fossils, minerals, and rare geological treasures from around the world.

Thomas developed a fascination with natural history during his high school years. His passion and dedication to the field have established him as one of the most respected figures in the industry. In addition to founding GeoDecor, Thomas is an internationally recognized fossil expert, a member of the prestigious Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, and an active participant in the Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences. He has also served as a fossil appraiser and professional witness for the U.S. State Department at The Hague in the Netherlands.

Over the years, Thomas has secured specimens for some of the world’s most esteemed institutions, including the American Museum of Natural History in New York, the Field Museum in Chicago, the Museums of Scotland, the Denver Museum, and the Smithsonian. He has also generously donated fossils and artifacts to several educational institutions and museums, reflecting his deep commitment to paleontology and the ongoing pursuit of discovery.

GeoDecor is particularly well-known for its rare and exceptional fossils from several of North America’s most significant excavation sites. Some of the most sought-after fossils are from the Bone Cabin Quarry in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. Having been excavated by the American Museum of Natural History, this site is regarded as one of the finest Jurassic dig locations on the continent. The quarry has yielded extraordinary specimens, including fully mounted dinosaur skeletons that are among the most complete and well-preserved fossils ever discovered from the Jurassic period. These fossils occupy a significant place in paleontological history with many specimens achieving iconic status. Thomas is also the curator of Samson, a Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex) from the Cretaceous Period. Excavated from a private ranch in South Dakota, Samson is one of the most complete T. rex specimens in existence. Standing at about 40 feet tall, Samson has traveled to NASA, and the Carnegie MuseumJuvenile Wooly Mammoth, Ice Age Siberia, Russia, and has been displayed in many other museums around the world.

One of GeoDecor’s exciting offerings is their Ice Age Collection, which includes a spectacular display of fully mounted Pleistocene mammals, woolly mammoths, cave bears, and an Ice Age bison. This collection also features the largest known matched set of mammoth tusks and three life-sized megafauna models. It's one of the most impressive and rare collections of Ice Age creatures ever made available for acquisition and a must-see for any enthusiast of prehistoric life.

GeoDecor is more than a showroom; it’s also home to an expansive, world-class preparation laboratory. Here, specimens are crafted with a focus on scientific accuracy and aesthetic beauty. The team at the lab also restores and repairs fossils with the utmost care and integrity, ensuring that each piece is handled with the respect it deserves. They also take on custom design projects, bringing new and creative ways to display ancient treasures to life.Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, from the Cretaceous period, in the GeoDecor mounting shop.
