The African Art Village thrives with artisans representing diverse regions, including South Africa, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, and other West African nations. Vendors eagerly share the rich stories behind their wares, whether it’s the inspiration for a ceremonial mask, the symbolism woven into vibrant textiles, or the intricate craftsmanship of hand-carved statues and handwoven rugs. Visitors can explore an extraordinary range of authentic African art, from traditional textiles and jewelry to paintings and hand-carved sculptures. Each piece reflects Africa’s diverse cultures, offering attendees a rare chance to acquire original works directly from the artisans.
More than just a shopping destination, the African Art Village is a cultural celebration. Guests can enjoy live performances, drumming, storytelling, and music that showcase Africa’s heritage and creativity. The event is not only a feast for the senses but also an educational experience, as attendees engage directly with artists and vendors to learn about the cultural and historical significance of the artwork. These interactions support sustainable and fair trade practices, ensuring the artisans are empowered, and their craft is preserved.

As owner Charlotte Mack explains, the African Art Village is about much more than commerce: "It’s education. It’s about seeing how other people in other countries live. I have learned so much from everybody here, and I make sure to learn something about everyone’s culture, village, and family. And you never know what to expect—it’s like Christmas. You’re just surprised to see what’s new."
The African Art Village is proudly women-owned, minority-owned, and Black-owned. It champions fair trade and empowers artisans by providing sustainable opportunities. Through this vibrant marketplace, the incredible talents of African creators are celebrated, strengthening the global community while honoring the rich tapestry of African heritage and tradition.
